Speakers: Erwin Krikken and Tom Perik, both graduates in Technical Medicine, now working at Sectra

During this lunch talk, two Technical Medicine alumni will take you on a journey into the world of medical imaging at Sectra, a Swedish company that provides IT solutions for imaging and diagnostics in hospitals worldwide.

Drawing on their own work, they will explain what a PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) is, and the role it plays in the diagnostic process, from image storage to the exchange of images between departments and hospitals.

They also talk about their own roles within Sectra: ranging from technical consultancy to implementation and support for hospitals. They demonstrate how their TG background helps them to bridge the gap between technology, IT and clinical practice.

This is a great opportunity to discover what a TG/BMTer can contribute to a company that is driving technological progress in healthcare.
